Global Ambassador for Fulbright Program

Description

The Argentina Fulbright Commission has awarded select US schools with grants to host junior and senior undergraduate students at their universities for a semester. As part of this program, US students at the host university are matched up with visiting Argentine students to help introduce them to the US education system, the host university, and the community.

Roles

I participated in this program as a mentor from 2017 to 2018. In the spring semesters, I would be matched up with several Argentinian students and serve as their liaison and chaperon to campus and the community. I shared in their interests, gave them new experiences, and engaged with them linguistically and academically. 

Takeaways

This was a phenomenal experience that gave me an opportunity to learn about Latin culture and make friends from around the world. I developed a desire to travel and meet new people.
